Extremely rare stainless steel Longines Tre Tacche wristwatch. Brown leather band. Beautiful patina original dial with Arabic numerals. Sweep seconds hand. Waterproof back. Case size: 35mm. Calibre: 12.69N. Circa 1942. Reference number: 22243.
Tre Tacche in Italian means "three notches". These distinctive notches on the back of the watch are to tighten and waterproof the watch. It was amongst the first water resistant watches with a screw down caseback.
